Somya is a creative designer who is Reimagining Sustainability, with moxie. She believes that inspired, good design comes from mindful choices and a sense of artful bravery. 

With a BFA in Design from Carnegie Mellon, a strong understanding of spatial flow, layout ergonomics and a thoughtful re-purposing of what already exists, she creates one of a kind bespoke experiences. Her aesthetic is metro with a mid-century twist, boho with a sense of edge. And yet she can easitly focus her expertise towards any design style you may prefer.

Color palette, artwork, accessories and lighting are all equally important. Each element is essential to the alchemy of creating a cohesive look. One that is innovative and resolved, yet balanced by contrast.

She believes that sustainability is everyone’s responsibility and strives to incorporate environmentally friendly design solutions into all Modest Malibu projects. It is both an exciting design challenge / ingenuity-enhancer, and a personal commitment to make planet-wise decisions that never compromise on integrity or beauty.
